actually its only after the death of steve jobs that i realised how meaningful his speech were. my lecturer used to ask me to hear how he speak but i didn't pay much attention.. the words he said are true.. kept me thinking.

finally my temp data entry job is coming to an end after today! although i got more income for the month, i really love to have the time to rest and do things that i wanna do! having extra $ is good if u have a plan for it, or to save it.

anyway working in this particular seafood restaurant has taught me abit although im just a data entry worker.

the good:
- seeing and experiencing first hand knowledge of how departments function and work
- i can also relate to my EBP module which i learnt last sem
- see how workers work during stress

the bad:
- seeing how real that each department are working on its on even though there are 2-3 depts in the same office! the silo effect is there. the depts only help their own depts.
- alot of office politics, the badmouthing and backstabbing
- everyone only cares abt themselves
- so many smokers and nearly suffocating me!

but still its a good exposure and it wont dampen my spirit in working in a business environment one day after my graduation! and hopefully i can save enough capital to startup my own business in future.

i have a plan to save enough money to have a decent marriage, a decent and cosy home, a small car to ferry me from A to B, able to get stuffs that i like, start a family and most importantly to give my parents a better life.

3 more sems to go.. wonder if thats a good thing or not. i realised im only good in studying for exams, after exams my knowledge vanish tgt with the papers. sigh how can i enter the workforce like that..

anyway 2 days ago, i had a mild infection in my chin area, but yesterday it became even more infected. a bigger and painful lump.. so i had to consult the doc and he said that if it became soft in the core, have to cut the whole area that will leave a scar.. i dont want lor. gonna pray that my medications will cure me!

gonna attend xh's brother wedding tmr. kinda excited and yet nervous. my 4th time attending a wedding and its my first time alone with family/relatives! and becos of my chin.. its pretty obvious... so.. :(

my birthday is coming and i feel like getting an armani watch that cost $200-$300 to pamper myself. but idk if i should? :(

first time ever for me (yes its the first time) that i'm going overseas with my classmates! pretty interesting and exciting! so we met up at 6am and prepare to go for our getawayyyy!

so off we go to the i-don't-know-the-name of the shopping centre which is located near our dinner location. nothing much to walk, so we were slacking at some fast food restaurant with the unique swing seating.

so its dinner time! seafood which isn't so seafoodish.

so after dinner, we came to the highlight of the day! aka fireflies seeing. really hate wearing life vest.. totally. reminds me of the days when i'm taking my goldstar survivor test when i was primary 3. tsk.

alas, home sweet home. this concludes our 1 day malaysia trip. totally enjoyed my time with my classmates!

Very belated post on this. had a very nice and relaxing time with awesome friends at MBS! thanks raniel/eugene for inviting me and wilson to have a chance to experience the hotel stay cum swimming session! the whole experience (night drinking, tons of pizza hut's drumlets and pizzas that amt to the hundreds and expensive breakfast, rushing to sch) is something that words cant describe. thanks for the wonderful moments!

and im really really guilty of having raniel's mum spending over like $40++ for my breakfast buffet. omg im really really grateful!(dinner too!)

still.. we tried to tan with whatever sun we had left at abt 5pm... lol

so we decided to do a little shopping to have a lasting night..

so we forgo all our projs and let loose. crazy webcamming and off to drink! and.. wilson really knows everyone from everywhere! somehow. lol

the rest is history. tv, chat, slack and sleep! not gonna upload many cos alot of unglam pics. lol.

and the best part is.. wilson and eugene dragged me to the jacuzzi/swimming pool at 6.30am.. omg.. considering i only had 4hrs of sleep and its damn cold up so high!

been really crazy with all the projects. its really suffocating me like theres no tomorrow. seriously piles of shit are constantly aiming at me and nobody understands.

anyway i know its not the first time i had the thought of leaving my job even though i've worked for almost 3 years. But i felt like since projects are quite intense and i cant really cope, i really feel like leaving the job and probably seek something more flexible like what pals eug and wils worked before. work once every fortnight that kinda thing which im unable to do so now.

not to say its not flexible for me now, but im still waiting for them to sign a full time admin on the weekdays so i dont have to like go down during my long break tmr after lesson to rush the payrolls and rush back to sch in the evenings for the ceremony. i see my classmates rushing their projects in their grps but i have to be somewhere else doing something else other than my project.

sometimes i feel that the sacrifices i made are quite redundant, for instance one night when i had to go down to helpout with some editing, only to reach there and realise 1hr later that my help wasnt even needed.. to think i went down when im rushing my project. its not abt the 1hr fee that im being paid, or the cab fare thats being paid for too, sometimes its just that all these can be avoided and time is something that nobody can be paid with money once its wasted.

grades is of my utmost priorities and in fact i often feel that in life, money isnt everything. its just that i can only spend lesser with lesser income thats all. i remember once, for the first time this yr when i stopped working on sat, i went for a walk after studying and i felt so good. hearing the sound of the tress swaying, inhaling the fresh air.. everything seems so peaceful. but life doesnt work this way.. sadly.

ebp this sun due for submission, thank goodness final project for this sem! gonna hunt for a weekday job during the hols already. hope i can find a job or passion that i really like.. but still.. im so stressed up. making loads of mistakes and the compiling is driving me crazy. not difficult just that its very troublesome.

im gonna stop for today, damn tired and not to mention gotta wake at 630 tmr and home only at like 9+ or 10 tmr due to the event. and rushing to the centre and back to sch during my break.

i just need a break from everything. school, work, everything. life is so depressing. so not looking forward for tmr.

Been long since i blogged.. everyday is just project, and i realised.. to even catch up to reach a certain standard which i can't achieve.. i get very exhausted and tend to slack. its pathetic. i really foresee my grades/gpa dropping at the end of the sem though i really don't want it to happen.

but i feel very tired to even push on.. sleepless night daily is a norm. no matter how tired am i. i wonder if its due to stress or my daily habits. i might need to see a psychiatrist soon.

but yesterday when i didnt work. i felt so much at peace. i could sleep in, do my tuts slowly.. a cpl of card games with my bro.. enjoy the afternoon breeze to my aunt's place. so many things that i can never experience on a hectic weekday.

but still im thankful for everything that i have bcs everything happens for a reason. just like my baby girl into my life :)

INaugural Ceremony

this is the first inaugural ceremony for the tuition centre and i was glad that i was involved! be it an audience or a small part of the planning team doing a little for the tuition centre gave me a great sense of satisfaction!

vain, so had to take a few pics to check if im looking good for the event! anyway the preparation for the event was awesome! the stairs leading to the 2nd level was awesome, the area for the ceremony was cosy and nice too! everything was awesome. totally. you just have to be there to soak in the atmosphere. words just cant describe how excited i was!

Had so much fun with HEE SENG i tell u. hahaha everybody is trying to strip him, even lena! OMG damn funny. nearly died laughing earlier. hanging around the group consisting of hee seng, wei hao, zheng han and bobby gaga makes me feel like little kids again. regine also damn cute seriously. first time conversing with lena, didnt know shes quite funny also. lol.

and my ugly shot...

but i guess the happiest thing today was not when the audience viewed my video.. but rather what alvin has said. didnt expect him to give me the credit infront of so many audience and let alone tell them i was his cousin. for a moment i was really happy and proud to be is cousin. thanks for the wonderful day though it wasnt for me! but it was an enjoyable process since the start of rushing the video and when it crashed i had to do it all from scratch. trust me no joke. and to the rushing of editing the cheque also.. sigh party ended and new day tmr.. which spells work.. and HOME work...

anyway movie at cathay and caught the movie "Sanctum". interesting movie really. touching too! worth watching! dinner at fish and co and went to heerens to shop since desmond wanted his top!

Camp 3DO

this year's 3do aka camp metamorphosis will most probably be the last camp there is in terms for the freshies. though i was in the logistic team, doing the work behind the scenes that got me exhausted everyday.. i really did enjoyed myself! wished i had participated last year when i had the chance.

as i wasnt the GL/GM, games that i could/had participated were few and limited.. still im quite happy many freshies with pc/gl/gm were having fun with the games.

what is a camp without a campfire? the campfire night brought many thoughts for the pcs. but nevertheless its still a blast!

at the end, the fnal cheer, the cheers from the pc/gl/gm together with the *static sound* for logi team :p

had my results 2 days ago.. i'm satisfied but still regretful for not doing a tat better! but still i did improved compared to last sem. people might think i'm very "hao lian" since my results are not lousy, but still i dont see anything wrong with having my expectations higher. and i dont give a shit to what critics are saying abt what i feel towards my expectations.

so the Metamorphersis camp is tmr aka 3D0 camp.. 5days for us planning comm. seriously brings back nostalgic memories of my army days. stay in unit 5 days or 5days + a week for 2 yrs. haha. but still.. im happy to be part of this event but though i wished i was in another department.. i like to play games.. so i guess logistic department dont really suit me. hope everything runs smoothly! gonna be a hectic week!

night cycling last week was AWESOME! though it was a faculty event, organised by Evo (orange shirts) and my UR department (orange shirt), i was very excited and happy since this event is quite a success!

Though the journey throughout the event was long and tiring, 10pm - 8am, cycling and chatting with my friends gave me an aweful load of fun! the supper, the food, the drinks and the knockout at the jetty with nic!

The end of 2010 and the beginning of 2011. The year 2010 has been a very fruitful year for me though it was the unlucky year for the tigers! More positives than the negatives, hoping this coming new year would be the same!

obtaining my driving licence despite failing once and driving my cousin's awesome car (toyota rush) on the road!

and last but not least.. having an awesome girlfriend that one could ever find :)

For 2011, there are many hopes and wishes that i would like to see it happen!(im greedy and damn sure not all will happen)
I hope i could do well in school, improve and maintain friendships, have better relations with my family members, my cousin's baby (annexe project) to have more students, everyone that i know of maintain the pink of health and lastly everyone to not be poor.

i've always wondered.. since colgate emphasize on 12-hour protection, so if one fine day i brush my teeth at 9pm, sleep at 12pm, wake up next day at 11am, meaning 2hours of my sleep time i won't be protected?!?!?!

Annexe xmas celebration over the 2 days was indeed a blast! had so much fun and laughter! the 2nd day's event was the best. never seen before drunkards around hahaha (nandini, marcus, isabel, nic, alyssa)

had an awesome day with my baby over at my place! watched movies and photosharing session! omg so in love with u clarice!

down with flu and slight fever at work today.. sigh. struggled through work whenever im not feeling well.. and ct is just next week. met wilson, leonard and eugene to celebrate raniel's birthday at shangri la hotel. had an awesome buffet which cost $85. haha got a hole in my pocket already but glad that everyone is happy! will upload pic when leonard uploads it.

seriously 18 guys cramming in 1 unit of the loft is no joke. couldnt sleep the entire night due to noises from games/ shoutings. pathetic. never spare a thought for people that wanted to sleep.

StrIT wise was an event today that totally drained my energy when my energy lvl isnt high to begin with considering the lack of sleep the night before.

but still though it was already 12+ midnight, i had a nice time walking down with my baby to get food up! though the mere 15mins were short, but the time spent was something i wont forget.

felt so bad sulking the whole day in class. but i guess after today.. i finally realised that i have to stop staying sad. its time i fight for my own happiness. never felt so determined before.

Disappointing week

in life when u wished that something happens, it doesnt and u get disappointed. but when it happens, u still get disappointed. but maybe it only happens for me.

first week of school hasnt been a walk in the park. seriously i dont think i can score well this sem. never been one to have high confidence. friendships deterioting in school. never expected this to happen. been a bad start to the week.

its only awhile and i know im never your priority.. i know i have nothing that is appealing. when i always say im handsome.. its more of an ego thing knowing im not. sadly life only has that once in a blue moon moment whereby i can be happy and forget everything.

last but not least.. the obsession of getting good grades is really crippling my mind. im very very tired.

Taiwan trip tmr! the blog is gonna be dead for 8 days at least.. till im back. im excited but yet feeling a little uneasy since im leaving my comfort zone - singapore. hope everything will be fine and i wont fall sick! days ago there was an earthquake at taipei.. hopefully nothing happens!

anyway.. i felt that life has changed for me. so many things going on but yet i can't separate them. im quite sad actually..
You used to say how i dont stand by u or even do things behind your back and it really hurt u alot. i always look so gloomy as though i dont have a sense of belonging to the place and the project that you are creating for the students.. things have changed. i appreciate the job that u have given me, whether its due to sheer pity or you that treasure kinship.. because jobs outside nowadays is not easy to find and the protective wall that u have provided me has shielded me from the harsh reality lurking outside in the modern world.

even though u are my cousin brother, sometimes i really doubt myself and think.. is the name only there just because it should be there? that the fact is we are cousins and nothing else. i will never be as close as your favorite students or your god brother. its not due to jealousy that im ranting, but the treatment i get from u is really different. i guess other than the title "cousin" i am nothing more than just another employee in your company. u make me feel so ordinary and u expect me to have a connection for this project.. this is something im trying but yet i know its almost impossible for it to be possible.

its been almost 2 yrs. i would have been fired long ago if it wasnt for u. i know that i can and never will be the perfect person you are looking for to help work as a administrator. i know u are very busy and u never really have much time. but u have time for others and not for me. whenever theres gathering or stuff.. i will always be the last that u will call. i dont know issit cos u always think i wont go or what. but.. its the truth.

i am really grateful for u squeezing time out to tuition me for my maths and helping me obtain such a wonderful grade for my maths, for giving me this job to know so many wonderful people that help me improve my life. but i guess the fact that i will always remain a ordinary employee in your company that cant provide much remains. so many to say but words are few. it really saddens me that other than the fact i am your cousin, i'm just another person to u only. im looking forward to day whereby im able to walkout of your shadow and show u in the real world im capable of earning too. and you wont have to feel that students look at me in a good light since we are related and capable so naturally they will think im the equal of u. one day.. i believe i can do this. im sorry and yet thankful to u for really taking very good care of me.
